ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD

The Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions of Moss Creek Property Ownership created the Architectural Review Board. This committee "Shall regulate the external design, appearance, use and location of improvements on the Real Estate in such manner as to preserve and enhance values and to maintain a harmonious relationship among structures, improvements and the natural vegetation and topography. See the Covenants and By-Laws for more information about architectural restrictions.

All improvements must be reviewed by the board. Please use the form below to submit a request. The request form should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the start of construction to the following address:

Highlights of some of the restrictions

Fences: Please be aware that the Conditions state, "No building, fence, wall, Dwelling Unit or other structure shall be commenced, erected, maintained, improved, altered, made or done on my lot without the prior written approval of the Architectural Review Board." This includes, but is not limited to, screened porches, fences, gazebos, and decks. If you are planning to make any such improvements, please contact one of your board members for further information in submitting your application. This will eliminate problems for everyone concerned.

Satellite Dish: The Architectural Review Board surveyed residents in 1994 and decided that 18" and smaller satellite dishes will be approved by the Board, provided that a written request is submitted and approved prior to installation, and the location is not on the front of the house. Direct any requests or questions to a Board member.

Mailbox and Post: The Board of Directors asks for everyone's cooperation in following the standardized mailbox and post size and style that was adopted in 1989. The post is 4"x 6" rough cut cedar and the box is a size 1 ~ black metal with red flag. These can be obtained from any retail store that carries mailboxes.
